THE DESIGNER
Hi I'm Sarah, the designer behind Sarah Kate Creative.
Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, I create bespoke wedding stationery for couples across the UK.
I started this journey in 2020 when I found myself with a lot of time on my hands, after my place of work closed during the pandemic. I used this as an opportunity to get back in touch with my creative side that I left behind when I finished school. I took class after class (Skillshare is amazing if you want to learn anything creative!) I tried lots of different things, learnt pattern design, acrylic painting, watercolour painting, digital design, calligraphy, the list goes on! Eventually I naturally gravitated towards calligraphy and this is where Sarah Kate Creative began!
In 2021 I had my first wedding clients creating place cards and menus for table settings, this quickly led into creating other on the day items such as table plans, order of services and signage.
I then decided to incorporate my love of watercolour painting and try my hand at invitation design and quickly fell in love with the process. Creating my first set of invitations for a client felt amazing, I loved that I could create something unique for them, that was personal to their wedding, and that no one else had had before.
